This new model means that Outrage owners now have more options for how they use their boats – they can take a break from the sun and keep the fun going longer with overnighting capabilities. Plus, there’s ample lockable storage,Ttis model also represents an increased emphasis at Whaler on the development of cabin boats. Our unsinkable construction provides additional peace of mind whether you’re fishing 100 miles offshore with family and friends or sleeping on the boat in a marina.” Using the proven hull of the successful 320 Outrage center console model introduced in 2003, this new 32’2” model employs the same configuration from the console to the transom, with a center console with storage and head, ergonomic helm design and a generous cockpit replete with virtually every fishing feature an angler could want. However, unlike the center console version, the new 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin sports Lshaped lounge seating forward of the console to port, a lockable cuddy cabin and convenient bow access to preserve fishability.

The dedicated anchor locker at the bow features a yacht caliber through-hull roller system including a Lofrans Project 1000 windlass, 200 feet of rode, chain and a plow anchor. The locker includes a spigot for freshwater washdown and a drain so you can rinse your anchoring tackle, windlass and deck after retrieving the anchor. The foredeck features an aggressive non-skid covered surface that is flanked by a sturdy 316L stainless steel bow rail leading to molded in fiberglass steps forward of the console to starboard. At the landing of the steps is a utility center with side storage and an insulated bin that serves as a cooler or additional storage.

The L-shaped seating to port allows passengers to face forward or aft and features a storage compartment beneath the seat, an easily accessible side storage compartment with cup holders and a 12-volt receptacle and a spacious in-deck storage compartment. Aft of the L-seat is a refreshment center complete with a 12-volt powered, top loading, refrigerator/freezer, integral cup holders and storage cabinet. Creature comforts such as these clearly differentiate the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin from its “strictly fishing” center console sister ship. The cuddy cabin door is located on centerline with a folding step to the cabin sole. The cabin contains a U-shaped seating area with storage compartments beneath the berth cushions. The seat cushions port and starboard adjacent to the companionway slide down to form a v-berth large enough for two adults to sleep comfortably. This efficient arrangement eliminates the need for additional cushions or filler parts that must be stowed when not in use.

In addition to the storage bins beneath the cushions, the cabin sports six interior rod racks, drink holders and tuck spaces designed to keep the cabin clutter-free. The deck features the rich look and feel of teak flooring yet it is made with a high tech synthetic material that gives it the look of classic teak with less maintenance and greater longevity. Equipped with superior grade marine vinyl seat/berth cushions, the cabin cleans up quickly with minimal effort.

Located amidships is a spacious center console with stand-up head room. The console interior is molded fiberglass that requires minimal maintenance. Features include vertical rod storage, storage drawers, cabinets and a trash receptacle. Its Vacuflush head system includes a porcelain toilet, a 6.5 gallon holding tank, dockside pump out and overboard discharge. The sink’s faucet also functions as a showerhead. There is a sump pump located in the console sole. A lighted component compartment in this area provides access to critical equipment including batteries, pumps and seacocks. Also within the console are removable panels for access to the wiring of helm electronics. The panels are adjacent to a standard 12-volt receptacle and a Clarion stereo/CD player, all within the locking console compartment and protected from the elements.

Like larger yachts, the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin features push button start switches at the helm with ignition key switches tucked inside of the console. The helm station is designed to accommodate up to three 10-inch electronics displays. It includes a locking electronics box and flush mounting surface space. Standard Mercury Marine Smart Craft instrumentation provides critical engine function information at the push of a button. Speaking of buttons, there is a convenient dash mounted stereo remote at the helm. The tempered glass windscreen provides weather protection while virtually eliminating visual distortion. Trim tabs, hydraulic tilt steering, shore power with battery charger are all standard features. Helm seating includes twin racing-style bolster seats with flip up seat bases and a convenient storage compartment in the armrest between the seats. The helmsman’s seat base is adjustable for comfortable access to the molded console footrest. Combined with the standard tilt steering, the helm can be adjusted to fit users of varying heights and sizes.

The helm seat base houses a bait prep station with sink, tool holder, trash receptacle, locking tackle drawers and a 45-gallon recirculating live well. The helm and console area is covered by an oversized fiberglass hard top. Hard top features include an electronics box, cockpit floodlights, dome light, rod holders and life jacket storage.

The spacious aft cockpit features a full width stern seat capable of holding three adults. When the seat is not in use, it folds flush to the transom, affording a large, unobstructed cockpit for fishing. The cockpit features large 80-gallon port and starboard fishboxes with pump out. Ice and the day’s catch are thoroughly insulated and stay fresh longer thanks to Whaler’s foam core construction. Fresh and raw water washdown systems are located in the transom area for immediate clean up after a fish is boated through the transom gate. Gear stows quickly and conveniently in under gunnel rod racks, complete with down rigger weight holders and optional port and starboard 12-volt receptacles for plugging in electric reels or down riggers. Stainless steel toe rails are standard features to help keep anglers on board while reviving fish or retrieving items from the water.

Passengers will appreciate the boat’s stable, smooth, dry ride, thanks to its 10’2” beam, and its Whaler exclusive Accutrack hull. Its deep-V hull features a sharp angle of entry to tame miles of unruly open water, transitioning to an aggressive 23-degree dead rise at the transom. Strategically positioned reverse chines and full length running strakes provide lift, superior tracking and deflect spray for a dry ride. The hull also features an innovative keel pad that enhances low speed planing and improves hole shot. Standard power for the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin is a pair of 225 Optimax Mercury Marine engines. Engine options include dual 250 horsepower Mercury Marine Optimax engines or dual 250 and 275 horsepower Verado FourStrokes, featuring power assist steering and yacht caliber digital controls. The boat has a fuel capacity of 300 gallons and a fresh water capacity of 40 gallons. Notable options on the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin include a sun pad cushion with grab rails for the bow, radial outriggers for the hard top and a weather curtain package that encloses the forward cockpit area for overnighting.

Another exclusive Boston Whaler option is the Active Deck Suspension System (ADSS). Whaler’s patented Active Deck Suspension System (ADSS) is a pneumatic shock absorption system designed in cooperation with Garelick Manufacturing . It is designed to reduce the severity of the impact felt while operating a boat in rough seas. Pneumatic cylinders beneath the 320 Outrage’s pilot deck release air when the hull encounters a jarring wave. The harder the impact, the more air is released which momentarily causes the pilot deck to lower, virtually “absorbing” the shock of the wave. The system can be adjusted depending on the severity of the seas and it can be completely deactivated for operation in calm seas or while trolling. Because it features Boston Whaler’s exclusive Unibond foam cored construction, the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin is virtually unsinkable- able to hold up to 4800 pounds of additional weight when completely swamped with water. Like all Boston Whaler boats, the 320 Outrage Cuddy Cabin is covered by a transferable limited 10-year hull warranty.
